Charles Manigo has revealed his shock and heartbreak after finding out that the 18 year old girl he raised from childbirth as his own daughter wasn't his, but was actually kidnapped at childbirth by his former partner, Gloria Williams in 1998.
According to Charles, his ex-partner , Gloria, lied to him she had given birth to the baby, he named Alexis Kelly Manigo, while he traveled, not knowing she suffered a miscarriage one week before abducting the baby from Florida while posing as a nurse.
Gloria, then passed off the kid as hers and they've been raising the child together since 1998- the pair even shared custody of the child when they split in 2003.
The child's real name is Kamiyah Mobley, and she has been returned to her original parents, Shanara Mobley and Craig Aiken, after Gloria, was on Friday arrested by the police following a tip off.
Kamiyah was kidnapped from her mother’s arms at the University Medical Center in Jacksonville in July 1998, resulting in a state wide inquiry and Mr Manigo has revealed upon Gloria's arrest that he still loves his 'daughter', even though she's been re-united with her new family:
‘She was the love of my life.
‘One of the hardest things she said on Friday was, “Dad I love you” even though she knows what’s going on.
‘She’s still my child. I understand what’s going on, but she’s still my child.’
Speaking after the meeting with his daughter, Aiken, 41, told DailyMail.com: ‘It was the best day of my life. It was a beautiful, beautiful day. We are so happy. I hope the world is rejoicing with us.’
