Rhymefest said West’s house will become part of Dondas House, a non-profit that supports young aspiring artists in Chicago, which was founded by him and Kanye, in honour of West’s mother.
The incubator is planned to be the first of a series of spaces offering resources for youth, Smith said.
It will be the first of our nationwide Lite-Houses [with] a state of the art recording studio, a curriculum space for Donda’s House and South Side music museum,” Smith said.
The purchase of the house was made earlier in November. Smith made the announcement in conjunction to push followers to donate to the non-profit and #givingTuesday.
